President Joe Biden arrived in Washington, DC before his inauguration, not on a United States Air Force plane, but on a private chartered jet.
A Boeing Business Jet 737 flew Biden from Delaware New Castle Airport to Andrews Air Force Base on Tuesday, taking the then president-elect to the nation’s capital in style and luxury, as the aircraft is normally reserved for the top flight private fliers. Biden used a similar but less luxurious 737 in the campaign after initially refusing one.

Jet Edge International of California operates the private jet plane, a true flying penthouse apartment complete with a master bedroom and shower on board. The aircraft is ideal for intercontinental flights, as its amenities allow it to be a real home away from home.
Biden only used the jet for a quick jump of 78 nautical miles, as safety concerns thwarted the president’s preferred method of transportation between the two cities, Amtrak. It was probably his last flight on the plane, as he will have access to an entire fleet of luxurious military planes and helicopters to transport him wherever he wants.
And now that the 737 is no longer being used by the president, the plane can be chartered by anyone who can afford the high price. An hour alone on the jet can amount to tens of thousands of dollars.
