See the ‘American Idol’ singer who will be the ‘damn winner’, says Luke Bryan

Katy Perry called the hopeful Casey Bishop “American Idol” “very, very good” on Sunday’s episode. Fellow judge Luke Bryan went even further.

“I think she’s the winner of ‘American Idol’, period,” he said. (Watch the video below.)

Bishop, 15, from Estero, Fla., Said he “had no performance experience, really” before his audition – although she is supposedly attending a performance arts school.

Her talent was undeniable when she sang a cappella version of “Live Wire” by Motley Crue and a Sarah Vaughan-inspired version of “My Funny Valentine”.

Bishop sang the second song after Perry asked her to highlight the soul part of his voice – and that proved to be decisive in Bryan’s prediction.

Bryan compared the impression she made to the selection of musician Alejandro Aranda in 2019, after which Perry predicted that he would win. Aranda moved to second place.

Bishop’s next step is Hollywood Week. Good luck, boy.
