See Rilo Kiley Stage Partial meeting during the live broadcast of ‘Rock-N-Relief’

Rilo Kiley staged a partial meeting during the live broadcast of Rock-n-Relief and the show series on Saturday, while Jenny Lewis and Blake Sennett sang the band’s “Let Me Back In”.

Playing together for the first time in six years, Lewis and Sennett – the main composers of Rilo Kiley – made an acoustic version of their Rkives go along. See the partial meeting in the 5 hours and 35 minutes of the Rock-N-Relief live broadcast above.

The beloved indie band performed for the last time in 2008, about five years before Rilo Kiley formalized their separation in 2013. However, Sennett and Lewis took the stage together in 2015, when the guitarist joined Lewis and his band to play “Portions for Raposas” at Coachella:

Rilo Kiley’s partial meeting was one of the highlights of Linda Perry’s Rock ‘N’ Relief Live Stream concert series, which combined pre-recorded performances with live sets from the Los Angeles Dodger Stadium parking lot, the location of the Covid- 19 in the city center.

Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Deadmau5, Carly Simon and Sammy Hagar shared digital performances, while Silversun Pickups, Miguel, Kevin Bacon, Macy Gray, L7’s Donita Sparks, Aloe Blacc, Juliette Lewis and the Licks participated in the drive-in part of the concert.

The proceeds from the event benefited Sean Penn’s CORE Response (Community Organized Aid Effort).
