See how you can pre-register for the Montgomery County COVID-19 vaccine

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – The Montgomery County Public Health District has opened a pre-registration site for the COVID-19 vaccine for people who fall into phase 1B.

According to a press release, the county is expected to receive 400 doses of the vaccine this week and will administer it to people 65 and older and adults 18 and older with at least one chronic medical condition.

Qualifying medical conditions include:

• Cancer

• Chronic kidney disease

• COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

• Heart problems, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies

• Solid organ transplant

• Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index 30 kg / m2 or higher)

• Sickle cell anemia

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Anyone who meets the qualifications and would like to receive the vaccine at a drive-through clinic must follow these steps to pre-register:

1. Go to mcphd-tx.org and click on the link to enter the pre-registration list.
   1. According to the county, due to the overwhelming response, mcphd-tx.org servers are down. People are being asked to access https://www.mchd-tx.org/, where the county will provide the link to pre-register vaccines.
2. Wait for an email tomorrow (Tuesday, January 26, 2021) between 10 am and 5 pm from [email protected] to schedule your appointment.

3. You will have 24 hours from sending the email to make your appointment. If you do not follow the steps to schedule the appointment, your place will be released to the next person on the list.

4. More location instructions will be provided when you book online.

The county wants to emphasize that “pre-registration does not guarantee an interview. Appointments will not be made over the phone. If you are on the pre-registration list and DO NOT receive a vaccine in this allocation, you will need to re-apply for the next allocation. Make sure to check the email regularly.
