Fresh from the launch of Midnight remedy, Foo Fighters shared their new video for “No Son of Mine.”
Unlike most video clips, audio is obtained from a live performance of the track and not from its recording in the studio; in a New Year’s letter to fans who accompanied the song’s debut, Dave Grohl said of the track – inspired by Queen’s Heart, Motorhead and “Stone Cold Crazy” – “Pour a drink, zoom in, close your eyes and imagine the field of the festival exploding to [“No Son of Mine”]. Why the fuck? “
The new look, with images shot by Danny Clinch of Foo Fighters singing the song paired with the new Bomper Studio animation, captures the live sensation that Grohl longs for a post-pandemic.
“This is the kind of music that resides in all of us and if it makes sense at the moment, we let it out,” Grohl said earlier about the track, “Lyrically it is to attack the hypocrisy of hypocritical leaders, people who are guilty of committing crimes that are supposedly against … ”
10th Foo Fighters studio album Midnight remedy Friday arrived. The album was preceded by “No Son of Mine”, “Waiting on a War” and “Shame Shame”. In the past few weeks, the band has made appearances on Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Kimmel Live, iHeartRadio ALTer EGO and during Biden’s opening party.
