See BTS Light up’s ‘Dynamite’ at the Grammy MusiCares

UPDATED: MusiCares is the charity wing of the Recording Academy, and its annual concert during Grammy Week is its main source of fundraising practically every year. The organization distributes money to musicians – musicians, composers, producers, engineers, executives and others – in need and, last year, they distributed more than $ 22 million in COVID aid, in addition to their usual help for medical and financial difficulties for any qualifying musician, not just for members of the Academy.

Of course, this year’s show was virtual, but HER, Haim and, of course, BTS dedicated new performances to the show. BTS, dressed elegantly in matching suits, lit up his global hit “Dynamite” on the stage of a theater that, according to fans on social media, was the Grand Peace Palace at Kyunghee University in Seoul, although representatives have refused to confirm the location. The performance was imposing and light in the dance, but without losing energy – and Jungkook turned the drums upside down.

K-pop stars have won so many accolades in the past year that it’s hard to know where to start, but the most recent was from the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), which rewards the group’s latest album, “Map of the Soul: 7 , ”Winner of his first Global All Format Chart Album, after counting down the ten biggest albums in the world, IFPI is the organization that represents the recorded music industry worldwide.

The chart, in addition to the existing IFPI global awards, celebrates the year’s best-selling albums in all consumer formats, covering physical sales, digital downloads and streaming platforms.

After its release in February 2020, the fourth studio album of the K-pop superstars topped the charts in the group’s home country, Korea, where the album broke the all-time sales record, as well as in the top five markets musical instruments from the world (USA, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, France).
