Second round of COVID-19 vaccines towards selected pharmacies Georgia Publix

LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – The state of Georgia selected 139 Publix pharmacies to receive doses of the Modern vaccine COVID-19. Although the total number of pharmacies in Georgia is growing, not all 108 previously announced pharmacies will receive additional vaccines at this time. However, these pharmacies may receive more vaccines in the future.

Eligibility

According to state guidelines, vaccines are being offered to first respondents, health professionals, individuals aged 65 and over and their caregivers, residents and employees of long-term care facilities.

Commitments

Vaccines are only provided by appointment, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. The system will open on Tuesday, January 26 at 6:00 am ET, for scheduling times from Thursday, January 28 through Saturday, January 30.

Publix Pharmacy will administer the vaccine in the following counties while supplies last: Barrow, Bartow, Bibb, Chatham, Cherokee, Clarke, Cobb, Colquitt, Columbia, Coweta, Dawson, DeKalb, Dougherty, Douglas, Fayette, Floyd, Forsyth, Fulton, Glynn, Greene, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Houston, Lee, Lowndes, Muscogee, Oconee, Paulding, Richmond, Rockdale, Tift, Troup and Walton. Cost and insurance

Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Health insurance customers will need to bring their insurance card for their scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
