The widow of a California health care professional who died after receiving a second dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine said her late husband “believed in vaccines”.
X-ray technician Tim Zook’s health deteriorated dramatically after receiving the second injection and he was eventually transferred to the University of California Irvine Medical Center, where he died on January 9.
“We are not blaming any pharmaceutical companies,” Zook’s widow, Rochelle, told the Orange County Register. “My husband loved what he did. He worked in hospitals for 36.5 years. He believed in vaccines. I’m sure he would get the vaccine again and would like the public to do it.”
“But when someone shows symptoms 2.5 hours after the vaccine, that’s a reaction,” she said. “What else could have happened? We would like the public to know what happened to Tim, lest he die in vain. Serious reactions are rare. In reality, COVID is a much more deadly force than the reactions of the vaccine itself in potential. “

An investigation was underway on Zook’s death after he allegedly developed a violent attack on medical issues after the second dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.
The Orange County Coroner confirmed it was investigating Zook’s death in an emailed statement to Fox News. Additional tests and autopsy results will determine the cause of death.
“If it is determined that there may be a correlation with the vaccine, we will immediately notify the OC Health Care Agency,” said spokeswoman Carrie Braun in a confirmed statement sent to Fox News.
Zook, 60, worked at the South Coast Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, according to the Orange County Register. He posted a photo of his bandaged arm and vaccination card on Facebook and wrote that “I have never been so excited to take a photo before. Now I am fully vaccinated after receiving my second dose of Pfizer”.
Several hours later, Zook had “stomach ache and difficulty breathing” and when conditions got worse, co-workers accompanied him to the emergency room, the agency said. He dismissed his wife Rochelle’s concerns that his problems could be linked to the vaccine.
According to the report, Zook repeatedly tested negative for COVID-19 and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. It would then have been placed on a BiPAP machine, the agency said. On January 7, Zook was reportedly put into an induced coma and was breathing through a fan.

Pfizer and BioNTech said they are aware of the death and are fully reviewing the matter, according to an emailed statement to Fox News.
“Our immediate thoughts are with the bereaved family. We closely monitor all of these events and collect relevant information to share with global regulatory authorities. Rochelle Zook told the Orange County Register that her husband was “slightly overweight, but quite healthy”. He had high blood pressure but had been controlled with medication, the agency said.
“The message is, stay safe, get the vaccine – but the authorities need to do more research,” she told the vehicle. “We need to know the cause. Vaccines need to be as safe as possible. Every life is important.”

The news came amid reports of a separated patient in Placer County who tested positive for COVID-19 in late December, was vaccinated on Thursday and died several hours after receiving the injection, announced the county sheriff’s office. Placer on Saturday. This case also involves an active investigation into the cause of death.
It is not clear whether the unidentified patient received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
The US Food and Drug Administration gave emergency approval for the vaccine developed by Pfizer / BioNTech only after robust clinical testing and careful analysis of safety and efficacy data.
Experts at Johns Hopkins University recently said that the serious results that can arise from COVID-19 disease, such as hospitalization and death, far exceed the side effects of vaccines.
Part of the Biden administration’s plan to streamline the vaccination process in the U.S. is to address misinformation about vaccines.
Sometimes the vaccine’s hesitation comes from a misunderstanding or inaccurate information behind the vaccines or an assessment of their safety, said Dr. William Moss, a professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
The CDC says the common side effects of coronavirus vaccines include pain and swelling at the injection site, not unlike other vaccines. Vaccinated individuals may also experience fever, chills, tiredness and headache. Serious allergic reactions to vaccines are “extremely rare,” the CDC recently told reporters on a phone call.
