SEC releases pre-season survey of men’s basketball

The college basketball season is on its way, with the first games scheduled to start on November 25. The SEC looks like one of the most open leagues in the high league, as the recent heavyweights Kentucky and Auburn have lost a lot of talent. in the past two years, while Tennessee is on the rise. LSU, Florida and Alabama are additional programs that were considered in the top 25 pre-season surveys this fall.

The SEC released its media survey on Thursday, as well as pre-season awards. Keyontae Johnson of Florida was chosen as the pre-season Player of the Year and joined the First Team All-SEC by John Petty of Alabama, BJ Boston of Kentucky, Trendon Watford of LSU and John Fulkerson of Tennessee. Olivier Sarr from Kentucky, Javonte Smart from LSU, Dru Smith from Missouri, AJ Lawson from South Carolina, Yves Pons from Tennessee and Savion Flagg from Texas A&M completed the Second Team All-SEC.

There were some surprising choices in the poll, as Kentucky was the SEC’s team with the highest ranking in the pre-season coach poll released on Thursday, but was not chosen to beat the SEC by the media. This is how the entire poll looks, from No. 14 to No. 1.
