The Kentucky Wildcats are reportedly planned to add several transfers with expected relaxed eligibility rules, making the defensive defense they recruited from high school an intriguing prospect.
South Carolina defender Jammie Robinson Gamecocks has officially entered the transfer portal and could be a player Kentucky wants.

Robinson was classified as a four-star recruit at Lee County High School in Leesburg (GA) by Rivals and ESPN in the 2019 class, and he chose to join the Gamecocks on an impressive list of offerings that included Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson , LSU, Michigan, State of Florida, Oklahoma and Notre Dame.
Since landing in Columbia, Robinson has been quite impressive. In 2019, he won the honors of the SEC freshman team after registering 62 tackles in total, forcing a fumble, grabbing an interception and defending four passes.
In the second year in 2020, he finished second in the team in tackles with 74, while again defending four passes and grabbing an interception.
At the end of the teams’ season against Kentucky, Robinson was sent off after a hit by the UK receiver Allen Dailey.
Robison could be a potential fit for a UK high school losing Kelvin Joseph and Brandin Echols. He also has a connection on the team of offensive lineman Eric Wolford, whom Kentucky hired from the Gamecocks earlier this month.
In safety, Kentucky seems to have a chance of getting juniors Yusuf Corker and Tyrell Ajian back next year, so Robinson’s path to significant playing time will likely be in the cornerback if he goes to Kentucky. Therefore, if he prefers to maintain security, it may take him to a different program.
