Respawn could release Apex Legends for the Nintendo Switch that same day. Some fans with eagle eyes stained additional text in the description of the Japanese version of the video that said: “And on February 2nd, it will be possible to play on the Switch at the same time as the beginning of season 8!” Although not present in the clip’s English description, this text found its way into several other languages. Respawn and EA subsequently removed that information, so accept it as you wish. EA delayed the Switch version of Apex near the end of last year. “We are still working hard at the port, but to do the game justice and make it the great experience that Switch players deserve, our team needs more time,” wrote game director Chad Grenier at the time.
