Like more and more people realize the value of the old Pokémon cards, more and more people are looking for opportunities to get, if not all, at least once on a card that is worth a ton of money.
Which probably explains why (via Polygon), in a recent auction, a sealed box with the cards of the first edition of 1999 sold by $ 408,000.
that is a very of money, but as equity auctions to point in the description of the sale, the box will contain a first edition of the Charizard, and one of them recently went for $ 350,000 on its own. If this box contains one of those, then it was a good investment! If not, well, if you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on Pokémon cards, you will survive.
I remember I wrote about a first edition box sold at an auction in 2018 for $ 56,000 and thought it was crazy, and that – for many reasons, only a few of them Pokémonrelated – looks like it was 100 years ago.
