Script and schedule for Season 2 of the Chosen Season: plundering of Stasis Aspects and Challenges

Destiny 2Guardians’ final season will face Cabal once again, according to a Bungie announcement on Tuesday morning. The studio released more details on its website about the Season of the Chosen, including a script showing when players can expect new content to appear in the game.

On February 9, Bungie will release Season of the Chosen. Players can immediately start two of the new seasonal Battlegrounds events and jump to Devil’s Lair and Fallen SABER Strikes. Players can also start a search for a new Stasis Aspect on opening day, which should allow Guardians to further customize their newest subclass.

February 12 will mark the first day of a new Trials season. As Bungie teased last week, Trials of Osiris comes with a new set of armor and weapons for season 13. It is currently unclear whether players can regain the existing Trials of Osiris loot, or whether it is all over.

On February 16, a new battlefield will open at the cosmodrome. February 23 marks the return of the Iron Banner and sees the launch of the final battlefield – which looks like it could be on Mercury, a Destiny two planet that is no longer in the game.

The calendar suggests that nothing will happen between February 23 and mid-March. On March 23, season pass holders can experience the new Proving Grounds Strike a week in advance. The second week of the Iron Flag of the Chosen also begins on March 23. All players will have access to the Proving Ground on March 30, where the new Strike will also appear as Nightfall for the first time.

The Iron Flag returns again on April 13. And the much-maligned Guardian Games holiday event returns on April 20. Last year, the Titans canceled the competition due to some bizarre weight problems. We’ll see if Hunters and Sorcerers get a fair fight this time.

Notably, this list does not have the Exotic “Redacted” mission mentioned on the Season of the Chosen website. This new weapon looks like a new Stasis weapon built by Tex Mechanica – the weapon maker behind The Last Word and The Chaperone. It is unclear when players can get their hands on this new weapon, but previous seasons suggest that the mission may appear somewhere during the slow period between February and March.
