Keeping up with the Kardashians is back for its 20th and final season – and it looks like the upcoming family drama will not disappoint.
During the premiere of Thursday’s season, Scott Disick discussed his separation from then-girlfriend Sofia Richie. The star told Kim and Khloé Kardashian that Sofia gave him an “ultimatum” at the end of their relationship, asking him to choose between her and Kourtney Kardashian, his ex and mother of three children.
Earlier, Scott, 37, explained that he and Sofia, 22, took a break because she felt he was not prioritizing her. They got together, but finally decided to go their separate ways.
“I thought about trying and making it more of a priority, but still, I feel like she started wanting to push Kourtney out,” he said to Kim and Khloé on KUWTK. “And I said like, this is the most important thing for me are my kids and this is my family, and the only family I have, including you and her.”
“She was like, ‘I don’t want to share you as a boyfriend with Kourtney,'” he continued. “And then she literally said with an ultimatum, ‘You have to choose me or Kourtney.'”

“And I thought, ‘But Kourtney is Kourtney and my kids – he’s a unit,'” said Scott. “I was like, ‘How can you want this for me?’ It just became an impossible relationship to continue, right? “
In a confessional, Scott added that he would never sever ties with Kourtney, 41, or his children: sons Mason, 11, and Reign, 6, and daughter Penelope, 8.
“I will never give up on my relationship with Kourtney and the parents we have, nothing in a million years will be worth what we have,” he said. “And I really believe that if the right person showed up in Kourtney’s life, or in my life, having children and having this incredible relationship would just be an advantage for outsiders.”
“Sometimes it’s time to cut the umbilical cord,” said Kim, 40.
“Yes, like, I need to be with someone I trust with all my heart,” he replied. “I trust Kourtney with my life.”

Earlier, Kim and Khloé discussed Scott’s situation with Sofia while they were sitting by the pool with mother Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble.
“I think it must be a lot for someone her age to date Scott,” said Kris, 65. “He has three children, Kourtney’s drama, and in time, that would be hard to deal with. I thought about it. That would be difficult for me. Most women would not tolerate things like that. “
“Scott, I think he’s doing the best he can to try to be an amazing father, but it probably looks like she’s fighting for Kourtney’s attention and I’m sure this is really very difficult for Sophia,” said Khloé, 36
“If I were in Sofia’s shoes, I would think, this is not absolutely normal,” added Kim. “I would not like to be with someone who was on vacation with the ex.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Khloé opened up about her fertility struggles while trying to have a second child with Tristan Thompson. (At the time of filming, Khloé and Tristan, 30, were not dating, but have since been back together.)
“I have been thinking about wanting another child for some time and I already have an advantage in that, I started the process a few months ago, when I froze my eggs,” said Khloé.
“Tristan and I are not romantically together, so we won’t be conceiving in the natural way,” she added of the NBA player, with whom she shares her 3-year-old daughter True. “But he is an incredible father. He loves his daughter and son so much, so much and for the past year, and some changes. I saw so much growth and change in Tristan, for which I am very grateful. I am thrilled that Tristan has agreed to turn some of my frozen eggs into embryos. “

Unfortunately, however, Khloé’s frozen eggs did not survive the thawing process.
“Eggs are very, very delicate,” she explained. “So when you freeze them and need to defrost them, there’s a good chance that not everyone will do the defrosting process. sperm. But for some reason, none of mine was strong enough to handle the thawing process. “
“So now I have to start the whole egg removal process again,” she said, before telling Kim that next time, the doctors hope to retrieve her eggs and mix them with Tristan’s sperm immediately, so as not to have to freeze them.

“I know that, ultimately, there are no guarantees with the IVF process, but I really want to do that,” said Khloé. “It’s incredibly overwhelming to know what all these hormones do to your body, the procedures, the injections, the waiting, the lack of guarantees, the surgery, the consequences of everything. It’s scary. It’s scary. It’s stressful. It’s difficult.”
The surgery “went very well” with a total of 12 recovered eggs, Khloé revealed later, but her doctor later said she was “concerned” about her ability to carry another child.
“She just said that I would be like a high-risk carrier for pregnancy,” she told Kim. “I’m not going to go into the details on the camera, but they said, it’s an 80 percent chance that I will abort. I almost aborted with True at first, but I didn’t know it was like, a persistent thing.”
“She said she would be scared if my embryos were so difficult to create, she would feel terrible putting one in without telling me that I probably wouldn’t be able to carry it,” added Khloé, while Kim agreed, sharing that she had the ” best experience “with surrogacy with your three youngest children.

“This is all really shocking to me,” added Khloé in a confessional. “All I’m trying to do is bring more love into my life and my family. And I seem to be finding more and more obstacles and it’s very difficult for me to digest.”
At the end of the episode, the Good American mogul seemed more optimistic about her future family plans, telling Kim that after the surgery she ended up with “three healthy embryos” – a girl and two boys.
“I’m so excited,” she said. “These three lasted the five-day mark, which means they are healthy enough to be tested for any abnormalities and, hopefully, everyone will be healthy and perfect for moving forward with a pregnancy.”
“I know there is no guarantee that any of these embryos will be healthy enough, but I have never gotten this far before, so I am very, very excited and grateful,” added Khloé. “I’m still not sure about the surrogate part, but I have time to think about everything and I am very happy to have the potential to grow my family and have more love in my life.”
