Schumer says senators will decide whether Trump has incited ‘erection’

This is going to be hard to bear.

Majority leader Chuck Schumer got a revolt from lawmakers in the Senate plenary on Friday when he fumbled with his words and said they would have to decide whether former President Donald Trump incited “erection” against the USA.

“Make no mistake, there will be a trial and when that trial ends, senators will have to decide whether they believe Donald John Trump has incited an erection against the United States,” said Schumer.

Noticing his stupid slip, he corrected himself and said “insurrection”, but that didn’t stop online jokes from harassing him.

“Well, sometimes insurrection is a difficult word to pronounce,” a Twitter user wrote.

“I am sorry for the image that this evoked in my mind. Disgusting,” another wrote.

“Damn it. This is going to be difficult to live”, still another said.

And one added: “The most difficult posture Schumer has ever taken.”
