Schumer punches Hilaria Baldwin amid controversy

Amy Schumer criticized Hilaria Baldwin for her dubious Spanish accent amid accusations that the Boston-born yoga guru has been faking his ancestry for years.

“I get it. I went to Spain a few times and I loved it too,” wrote the 39-year-old comedian on Sunday in a post already deleted on Instagram from a photo of her with sunglasses and a huge beach hat.

The post included a cucumber emoji – a veiled reference to Baldwin, 36, “forgetting” the English word for the vegetable during a segment of the “Today” program.

Schumer and Baldwin exchanged barbs last week after the comic played a picture of Baldwin in lingerie and his newborn baby playing, pretending the photo was hers and writing that he “wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas”.

Baldwin responded with a video about body shamers – and promptly mistook fans for an American accent.

Baldwin, who has five children with actor Alec Baldwin, was forced to defend his floating accent and questions about his inheritance after a virus Leni Briscoe’s tweet that said: “You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her long decade of life, where she pretends to be a Spaniard.

In an Instagram video, Hilaria admitted that she was born in Beantown as “Hillary”, claiming that she spent “part of my childhood in Boston, part of my childhood in Spain”.

“Yes, I am a white girl, my family is white,” she said.

Her agency biography, however, notes that the fitness fan “was born in Majorca, Spain, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.”

Baldwin on Sunday also tried to explain her change in accent, saying she is also confused.

“If I speak a lot of Spanish, I usually mix it up, or if I speak a lot of English, I mix it up, it’s one of those things that I’ve always been a little insecure about,” she said. .
