Schedules, TV assignments defined for the UK men’s basketball SEC programming

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – Television assignments and opening hours for all times of the Kentucky Southeast Men’s Basketball Conference were released by the league on Tuesday.

The UK will be featured on a national broadcast in every game. Kentucky’s early season non-conference games were previously announced. The UK will play Texas in the SEC / Big 12 Challenge on January 30th. The peak time has not been designated, but will be featured in the ESPN family of networks.

Fifteen of Kentucky’s 18 league games will be televised by the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2 or SEC Network), with three end-of-season games scheduled for CBS.

In addition to the league list, Kentucky has six non-conference games remaining, five of which will take place in December. All non-conference league matches will also be broadcast on national television.

Kentucky will play 27 games (24 regular season games with a three-game multi-time event) assigned by the NCAA Division I Council for the 2020-21 season before the postseason game.

Most tickets for the 2020-21 season were sold as packages for the full season, and fans are encouraged to check Ticketmaster.com for any ticket quotas returned and released near game days, as well as for verified resale. All seats will be physically spaced in pods of two, three and four seats. Fans with questions are encouraged to contact the UK box office.

The UK schedule has been as difficult as anticipated, with two of the first four games featuring opponents currently ranked in Richmond and Kansas.

Then Kentucky will host Notre Dame on Saturday at noon at the Rupp Arena. This game will be televised on CBS.

After Fighting Irish, the UK will welcome Detroit Mercy on December 15, play at UCLA on December 19 at the CBS Sports Classic in Cleveland, and then end the early part of the non-conference game in Louisville on December 26th.

Five Kentucky opponents are ranked in the December 25 Associated Press Top 25, including three non-conference opponents in Kansas (No. 5), Texas (No. 14), Richmond (No. 19) and Louisville (No. 25 ). UCLA also received a vote.

Tennessee, in 12th place, is the other program of the Southeast Conference ranked in the AP’s top 25. Florida and Alabama are out of the top 25 and received votes.

Kentucky plays Tennessee, Florida and Alabama twice. Based on the current AP Top 25, the UK will have six clashes in total in 2020-21 against the top 25 opponents.
