Scarlet Witch’s lullaby is translated into English

As provoked in most WandaVision marketing, it was always assumed that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) would have a pair of twins. That moment has come, with the birth of their children occurring in the most recent episode of WandaVision. Small spoilers for “Now in Color”, so proceed with caution if you haven’t seen the last episode of the series yet!

As soon as the episode starts to calm down, giving Wanda time to absorb everything and relax, she starts singing a Sokovian lullaby for both of them. Sure, it ends in what appears to be a fight between her and Geraldine (Teyonah Parris), but that is beside the point. Although Sokovia is a fictional country created for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some have noticed (via The direct) the caption hidden in some international locations provides the text in the native language of that market. This means that it can be translated into English.

In one example, those with Portuguese subtitles actually receive closed captions for the Portuguese lullaby instead of the fictional Sokovian language. Those who translated it found that it says, “I waited for you and this day has come. My heart has become a home full of light, full of light.”

Although the first three episodes of the series were relatively slow, Olsen herself said that things improved once Episode Four reached Disney + on January 29.

“When we started shooting this show, we had nine scripts, so I didn’t really need to know what was going on. It was very specific,” said Olsen recently. Digital Spy. “I think the reason they show the press the first few episodes is because Episode 4 is a big change. It’s a really fun exchange of perspective and I think a lot is understood at that point.”

The first three episodes of WandaVision are now broadcasting on Disney +. If you haven’t signed up for the service yet, you can try it out here.
