Why South Carolina will win
The Bulldogs got an Alabama A&M that was not preparing for it.
SC State was supposed to play Howard, but those plans were canceled because of restrictions in Washington DC. However, MEAC Bulldogs has the defense to deal with changes and disruptions.
The secondary is solid, the linebacking team is potentially great, and the attack that was good two years ago, at least, has enough experience to be a little better. Just hold the loot and leave that incredible D for the rest.

Why Alabama A&M will win
Alabama A&M was supposed to play in the Mississippi Valley State, but is now traveling to Orangeburg to start the season.
Aqeel Glass must be the best defender of SWAC, executing an efficient attack that, like the state of South Carolina, just has to not spoil things for the defense to do the rest.
OD may have fought in 2019, but the talent is there to recover quickly in a strong passing race and a good group to resist the race.
What will happen
Both defenses will be sound, but the state of South Carolina will be better early on. The attack will fight just enough not to move away, but the secondary will make up for it.
