SC soldiers arrest a woman in Lancaster for hit and run involving a pedestrian

LANCASTER, SC – South Carolina police say Carolyn Crook, 53, is under arrest for her involvement in a Lancaster County hit by a pedestrian on January 21.

Crook is accused of leaving a collision site, resulting in serious injuries, and is being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center awaiting a bail hearing, according to a press release.

Police say Crook was driving on Airport Road, near Hillcrest Avenue, around 8:30 pm on January 21, when he hit a man who was walking and ran after him.

Detectives say the pedestrian, James Rollings, 59, was injured and was taken to a local hospital for treatment after the collision.

South Carolina law enforcement officials say the investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
