Marcie Turner, accounting manager at Davis & Floyd Inc., was promoted to associate. She has been with the company for 16 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting from Lander University.

Government

Michele Reed was appointed director of planning, land use and neighborhoods for the Mount Pleasant town. She has 15 years of experience in municipal and government planning. Previously, she was the main planner in the city. She has a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in planning, both from Indiana University – Purdue University. She can Jeff Ulma, who retired.

Hotel

Matt Beard was promoted to vice president of operations at Charlestowne Hotels. Previously, he was regional director of operations. He has about 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in hospital management and international tourism from New York Institute of Technology.

Law

Joel “Jay” Anderson Berly IV joined Butler Snow as a lawyer based in the Charleston office. He works with the commercial litigation group. Previously, he was secretary of law for US District Court Judge R. Bryan Harwell. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in law and a law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Kline is based in the downtown Charleston office. She has a bachelor’s degree in University of Northeast. Previously, she worked in the financial sector

Nate Blackburn Joined, joined The Beach Co. as a corporate accountant. Previously, he worked at a company in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Henry Robinson joined the Cassina Group as an agent. He holds a BA in English and a master’s in business administration, both from Wake Forest University.

Technology

Krystal Vargha Joined if, joined ClaimLogiq as director of human resources and compliance. Previously, she was with Lowcountry Food Bank. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and human resources from Bridgewater State University.
