RIP for the healthiest rap couple. Hours after fans noticed that Saweetie and Quavo stopped following each other on Instagram, the rapper from “My Type” tweeted that she was single. “I have already endured a lot of betrayal and hurt behind the scenes so that a false narrative circulates and degrades my character,” wrote Saweetie. “Gifts do not heal scars and love is not real when intimacy is given to other women.” Quavo, a third of the Migos, has not yet resolved the apparent divide. In another tweet, Saweetie added: “I left emotionally a long time ago and left with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Animated by this new elevation chapter 🙏🏽. “
Saweetie started dating Quavo in 2018, when he entered his DMs with a snowflake emoji, as she revealed last summer in a GQ feature in your relationship. “I feel like I’m growing and maturing because of him – not because of music, not because of Saweetie, but because of Diamonté … I don’t know what it would be like as a person if I had never met him,” said the magazine at the time, and all of our hearts have melted. Now they are back on the ice.
