Save me, Mr. Tako: final edition coming to the switch, PC on May 5th

Save me Mr. Tako: Tasukete Tako-San

Publisher Limited Run Games and developer Christophe Galati will release Save me Mr. Tako: Definitive Edition for Switch via Nintendo eShop and PC via Steam on May 5, the developer announced.

The original Save me Mr. Tako: Tasukete Tako-San was launched in October 2018 and removed from digital stores in October 2020 after the original publisher Nicalis and developer Christophe Galati split up. Users who already have Save me Mr. Tako: Tasukete Tako-San will have to buy Save me Mr. Tako: Definitive Edition to receive the new content.

“Last year, for the game’s two-year anniversary, I announced that I had separated from my former publisher Nicalis, resulting in the game being removed from stores (Steam and Nintendo eShop),” explained Galati. “Since the game has been removed from the list and is now under a new publisher, we cannot correct the existing game and, instead, we need to deliver it as a new title. Unfortunately, this means that anyone who bought the original game will still have to purchase this new version to enjoy all the new content. I contacted Valve and Nintendo to see if I could make a special discount for players with the original version in their library, but unfortunately it is impossible. I wish things had gone differently, but otherwise the game would have been stuck in its original and defective form. “

Limited racing games too announced will publish a physical edition of Save me Mr. Tako: Definitive Edition “On consoles”, with more information to be announced at a later date.

Immerse yourself in a great adventure in the Game Boy era!

In a world where humans and octopuses are at war, Tako is a small pacifist octopus who saves a woman from drowning on a stormy night. A fairy sees this act of bravery and grants him the ability to survive on earth. While traveling the world, Tako challenges his family and his people to try to resolve conflicts between humans and octopuses, immersing him in the very roots of this dysfunctional world.

Tako will solve puzzles, turn enemies into platforms by spitting ink on them, explore mysterious dungeons and fight tenacious bosses in their mission to end the war between the Octopus underwater kingdom and the human terrestrial kingdom.
