Satechi launches one of its first MagSafe-compatible multiple device chargers for iPhone 12 and AirPods at CES this week. The 2-in-1 aluminum magnetic wireless charging stand features a floating vertical wireless charger for your iPhone 12 with a dedicated point for charging wireless AirPods perfectly below. And it happens to be one of the most affordable MagSafe friendly options released so far, however, there are some caveats.
Satechi’s 2-in-1 wireless magnetic charging stand features a solid construction that uses aluminum and steel for a durable, stylish aesthetic. As the name implies, it uses a practical floating support style design to make it ideal for everything from desktops to nightstands to carry, while remaining easy to use and view.
We saw Belkin launch its 3-device MagSafe floating charger, which is a great option. But it also comes with a price tag of $ 150. If you are looking for a simpler and more economical option. The Satechi 2-in-1 wireless magnetic charging cradle offers the same basic feature as a floating charger compatible with the iPhone 12 MagSafe for $ 59. This is also decently more affordable than the newly announced Belkin MagSafe 2 in 1 charger , which costs $ 99.
Solid features with two caveats
The magnetic holder for iPhone 12 has a spherical holder so you can adjust the tilt of your iPhone. Although it is MagSafe compatible, the first caveat is that it is not officially MagSafe compatible, so you are getting 7.5 W of charge instead of 15 W (you will still have the magnetic connection, of course).
The second caveat to keep in mind, the USB-C charger / cable does not come with this Satechi wireless charging cradle – undoubtedly one of the reasons why it can keep the price more affordable. But if you already have one and are looking for a clean and simple MagSafe compatible wireless charger for iPhone 12 and AirPods, this seems like an excellent option at a good price.
