Santos finishes fourth consecutive NFC South title

Once again, NFC South belongs to the New Orleans Saints.

With the Saints’ 52-33 victory on Christmas Day over the Minnesota Vikings on Friday, New Orleans won their fourth consecutive division title.

Three weeks after becoming the first NFL team to secure a playoff spot, New Orleans won the division title for the seventh time with Sean Payton as head coach.

New Orleans (11-4), who have now won at least 11 games in four consecutive years, could have lost to the Vikings and still secured the division title since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Detroit Lions on Saturday. The Saints took care of business on Friday.

Entering Week 16, the Saints came in second, behind the No. 1 Green Bay Packers, who can secure first place on Sunday with a victory over the Titans.
