San Francisco police were looking for a man who stole a father’s SUV car with his two children on Saturday night.
Police said the victim left his silver, Honda Odyssey parked at block 2100 on Jackson Street and left the engine running while delivering food at 8:47 pm. Her two children – a one-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl – were in the vehicle when it was stolen, San Francisco police said.
Anyone who sees Odyssey with the 7FPK543 card should call 911, the police said.
The suspect is male, about 5 feet and 10 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, about 20 to 30 years old, and should be considered armed and dangerous, the California Highway Patrol said.
The children are Winnifred Fang, 90 cm tall and 15 kilos, with black hair and brown eyes, and Sean Fang, 60 cm tall and 13 kilos, with black hair and brown eyes.
The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Marin and Santa Clara counties just before 11 pm on Saturday, saying a kidnapping had occurred. The alert was issued on road signs, for cell phones in San Francisco and neighboring counties and through the broadcast of the Emergency Alert System, police said.
Just before midnight, San Francisco the police said they still hadn’t found the SUV.
San Francisco Police Commander Raj Vaswani said on Twitter that “all available police units” were looking for the vehicle on Saturday night, saying it was still “a fluid investigation underway”.
Officers from the Police Department’s motorcycle units, traffic enforcement unit and Honda Dirt Bike Unit were deployed to assist in the investigation, police said. The officers joined the officers in patrol vehicles marked to look for Odyssey and the children, the police said.
“I am grateful to Honda Motorcycle Officers who are meticulously covering block by block across the north and neighboring districts,” said David Lazar, deputy investigator for the San Francisco Police Department. “Grid search in progress. Mapped city. “
Detectives from the Police Department’s Special Victims Unit are the principal investigators, Lazar said.
“Dedicated Patrol and Investigation SFPD resources and an active search taking place,” said Lazar on twitter. “We are all closely monitoring. Please spread the word. “
