  • Samsung’s One UI 3.0 beta program was opened for the Galaxy A and Galaxy M phones.
  • It is initially focused on the A51 5G and the M31.
  • You may have to wait until March to get the launch based on Android 11 completed.

You no longer need a high-end phone to get a preview of One UI 3.0. Like Android Police and Sammy Fans report, Samsung opened the One UI 3 beta program for its most affordable Galaxy A and M devices, starting with the A51 5G (at least in South Korea) and M31 (at least for Indian users). If you’re using a qualifying device, you can sign up to see the initial version of Samsung on Android 11.

As with previous versions of One UI 3, the latest software offers the A51 and M31 a mix of integrated Android 11 features, as well as Samsung customizations. You will now see dedicated sections for conversations and media in the notifications tab, for example. You can also expect more control over the home screen, lock screen and screen widgets that are always on. Samsung’s Internet browser, camera autofocus and Bixby routines have also received some notable improvements.

More Galaxy A and M devices are expected to enter the beta program soon, although you will need to be patient if you are waiting for a polished release. Samsung’s official roadmap does not have the Galaxy A51 5G or M31 receiving One UI 3 until March 2021, and basic phones like the A10 and A20 may not receive the Android 11 update until August. For now, only Samsung premium phones will have the new operating system before 2020 ends.
