Samsung typically launches two Tab S cards in one year and we are moving towards what would historically be the time for a “Lite” release. Although we don’t have any specific points to discuss at the moment, it was realized that a medium-sized tablet or even two are on the way, including the first in the category to connect to 5G.

SamMobile is hearing from sources that the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite or Tab S8e will adopt the model numbers of SM-T730, -T735, -T736B and T736N – different signal connectivity is sufficient for Wi-Fi, LTE and 5G (probably a model supports millimeter wave while the other does not, keeping sub-6GHz) in the respective order. The Galaxy Tab S7 was the company’s first tablet available globally with 5G connectivity.

Going by these model numbers, this product line would be another spiritual successor to the Galaxy Tab S5e, as it occupied the SM-T720 and -T725 slots, but nothing is guaranteed here – the Galaxy S6 Lite had model names SM-P610 and – P615.

The publication is also aware that a “Plus” or “XL” version of this next line of tablets may be launched as well. Besides the screen, we have no idea what else could be enlarged in size.
