Samsung’s future phones will also not come with charging blocks, the company revealed, but it is leaving some room for maneuver. In a question and answer about why it no longer includes headphones and a charger in the box, Samsung says it believes gradually removing accessories from your phones can help make them more sustainable.
This answer implies that while the next generations of their phones may not come with the included accessories, some may. Samsung has other lines that it branded as Galaxy, from its foldable phones to its more economical options, and it has left room to continue including a charger in some of them for some time.
Perhaps Samsung wants to keep the charger on cheaper phones so that people who aren’t tech enthusiasts are more likely to buy them, or maybe it doesn’t want to bother people who buy their $ 2,000 phones. He could do both, or neither, and it would still count as “gradually”.
The company does not appear, however, to be following Apple’s route of pulling plugs from its existing phone line. The Note 20 Ultra and Note 10 listings still show a charger coming in the box.

While a company that ships older products with something that is no longer included in its best and latest may seem strange, it means that Samsung does not need to redo all the boxes of its old products and that consumers will not end up in the embarrassing situation at who watch a phone launch unboxing on YouTube and then have a decidedly different experience. Which approach is right really depends on what you’re optimizing, but this seems to be the one Samsung chose: slow and steady wins the race.

We found that more and more Galaxy users are reusing accessories they already have and making sustainable choices in their daily lives to promote better recycling habits. To support our Galaxy community on this journey, we are transitioning to removing the charger plug and headphones on our latest Galaxy smartphone line.
We believe that the gradual removal of charger plugs and headphones from the device’s packaging can help solve sustainable consumption problems and remove any pressure consumers may feel to continually receive unnecessary charger accessories with new phones.
We have also implemented standard USB-C charging ports since 2017, so older chargers can still be compatible with our latest Galaxy models.
