- Samsung plans to launch 26 million Galaxy S21 series devices in 2021.
- This apparently corresponds to the number of Galaxy S20 series units sold last year.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series offers three major phones, with the entry barrier reduced to $ 800, while the top-of-the-line S21 in particular receives several major updates.
You would think that the reduced price would generally result in more sales, but He c reports that Samsung has established a rather conservative estimate for shipments in 2021. The Korean news agency says that Samsung estimates that it will ship 26 million Galaxy S21 series devices this year.
Interestingly, the outlet notes that the Galaxy S20 series sold so much in 2020, adding that this number was considered unsurprising by Samsung. He allegedly set this estimate for the S21 series due to the effects of COVID-19 on physical stores and its position in the premium segment.
It is estimated that the basic Galaxy S21 is responsible for 10 million shipments (40%), while the Galaxy S21 Plus and S21 Ultra can account for eight million shipments each (30% each). Samsung’s estimate for Ultra model shipments is believed to have increased from last year’s S20 Ultra estimate, as it apparently underestimated demand for the 2020 Ultra model.
In any case, we are happy to see Samsung counteract the upward trend in core prices in 2021. Therefore, we expect the company to exceed its target as a result. Are you thinking of buying a Galaxy S21 series device? Let us know via the poll below!
