Samsung has done a good job of updates. Shortly after launching One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 for its recent flagships, it is now implementing One UI 3.1 for some of them. This update brings a number of S21 features to these devices, such as Enhanced Single Take mode, Private Share and video call effects, but is missing at least one: Google Discover on the home screen.

SamMobile was able to confirm that only phones provided with One UI 3.1 ready to use will have integration with Discover. Other phones that are receiving the update will have to settle for Samsung Free, which offers news from Taboola News, free TV shows (using Samsung TV Plus) and some pretty bad PWA games.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Samsung Galaxy F62 and Galaxy A32 5G are currently the only Samsung phones to support Google Discover on the One UI home screen. While all upcoming phones with One UI 3.1 preinstalled include integration with Google Discover, some of the existing devices may have the option with the eventual arrival of Android 12.
