The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is expected to be one of Samsung’s biggest phone launches in 2021, and that’s how it should be.
This design of Samsung’s next foldable flip-phone-style was posted by user Stellist on the Korean Meeco forum. He takes inspiration from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 and looks great to do that.
The design influence of the Galaxy S21 is clearer on the camera, which is in a relief of almost identical shape, with the same edges overflowing. This combination of purple and bronze colors is also found on the Galaxy S21, with the likely name of “Phantom Violet”.
There are three camera sensors on this ledge, one more than the first model. If the Z Flip 3 has three sensors, it will probably be the same main / ultra-wide / telephoto trio that will be installed on the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus.
We also see a much larger coverage screen than the original Z Flip. The former was only suitable for viewing notifications quickly or for use as a camera viewfinder, but this is large enough to display a normal lock screen when the phone is folded.
To add details to this specific design, LetsGoDigital left an impression of what the phone’s unfolded interior would look like. It is almost identical to the Z Flip with its central perforated selfie camera, although the hinge in rendering is less prominent and its settings are narrower than in the actual product.
Although it has been almost a year since the first Galaxy Z Flip was launched, the next should be launched this fall, along with the next Galaxy Z Fold 3. We can also see the Galaxy Note 21 appear around this time, which we I recently saw a design with a new camera look.
A recent rumor stated that there would be four Samsung foldables launching this year, with other claiming that there will be a new cheaper “Z Fold FE” also available. Since this includes two Z Flip models as well, we may be able to see another foldable budget in the form of a “Z Flip FE”, but there is also the option of a Plus or Ultra variant as Samsung offers for its non-foldable flagships.
