  • Samsung unveiled the 4G version of the Galaxy A32.
  • It is the first Galaxy A phone with a 90Hz screen refresh rate.
  • Despite its lack of 5G, the A32 4G also features a number of hardware aficionados on the 5G variant.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 was launched earlier this month with smooth lines and 5G intelligence. But one thing was missing – a high refresh rate screen. Now the company has announced the 4G variant that apparently fills that gap and more.

Despite the name, the Galaxy A32 4G looks like a beast completely different from its 5G brother. In many ways, it is an updated version of the 5G player as well.

The Galaxy A32 4G comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate – a big step up from the 6.5-inch 5G LCD panel. This also makes the 4G flavor the first Galaxy A phone to feature a high refresh rate screen. This AMOLED panel also provides intelligence to the fingerprint sensor on the A32 4G display, replacing the capacitive sensor mounted on the side of the A32 5G.

Other changes include a rear camera chandelier. While the 5G version accepts a 48 MP primary sensor, the 4G option includes a 64 MP sensor alongside 8 MP ultra-wide cameras, 5 MP macro and 5 MP depth. A 20 MP selfie shooter is mounted at the front.

As for silicon, an unnamed octa-core chipset with two 2 GHz cores and six 1.8 GHz cores is in use. RAM options range from 4 GB to 8 GB, while storage configurations are available in 64 GB or 128 GB formats. Samsung also included the 5,000 mAh battery with 15 W of charge in this package.

Finally, the 4G variant shares colors and styles with its brother 5G. This means that smooth lines like the LG Velvet are joined by the colors Awesome Violet, Awesome Black, Awesome Blue and Awesome White. It also runs Android 11 out of the box.

There is no pricing and availability information for the Samsung Galaxy A32 4G yet, but we would not be surprised to see it challenging the 5G option 279 (~ $ 338) price tag in Europe.
