Kering is a giant conglomerate of luxury products, and is also the name of Salma Hayek’s southern owl “supercool”.
Hayek’s husband is François-Henri Pinault, president and CEO of Kering. As the symbol of his multi-billion dollar corporation is an owl, Hayek did the logical thing and bought him a real owl on Valentine’s Day. (Where do you buy an owl?) Pinault, however, respectfully declined the gift. “He said, ‘Well, thank you, but I know this is your own gift to you,'” said Hayek People.
This turned out to be the best because the owl and Hayek “share a special bond”. They share special moments when Pinault is out of town, such as bedtime routines. While Hayek watches TV on his iPad, Kering is on top. Kering also likes to cuddle up on Hayek’s head, shoulder or arms. “Sometimes, when she is very close to me, I can feel her rubbing against me, which is very good. And I feel so blessed, ”said Hayek.
Kering is also apparently more “curious” than most owls and, as the name suggests, has intellectual tastes. “Although owls do not drink liquids because they take everything from the prey, she likes good wine, this one,” said the actress.
The owl is even willing to go against its nocturnal nature in Hayek’s care. This species is known to repeatedly call “a series of quick, bubbling calls” at night, but, said Hayek, “it sleeps in the room with me. Just for being in the same room [with her], there’s an energy to it and it’s mesmerizing. “
