Saint Bernard Parish Woman Goes Viral After Using Gorilla Glue as Hair Spray | News

The TikTok post by a woman from St. Bernard Parish went viral after she documented her fight with Gorilla Glue, which she used as a makeshift hair spray and eventually put her in a Chalmette hospital, according to a report by WWL-TV.

Tessica Brown called the experiment “bad, bad, bad idea” and said her hair stayed in the same braid for a month because of the adhesive spray – even after 15 washes and wetting her mane with coconut oil.

She ended up at St. Bernard Parish Ochsner hospital because her head was hurting, according to an Instagram post on Saturday. Hospital staff sent her home with sterile water and nail polish remover pads, but her most recent Instagram post suggested she may still be looking for a solution to her hair problem.

A day later, Gorilla Glue issued a statement saying “they were very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident” and added that their product should not be applied to hair.

Since Brown’s accident and follow-up posts, the New York Times has reported that his initial TikTok has been viewed almost 16 million times and has even earned him an internet nickname, Gorilla Glue Girl.
