The patch is active and has 27 gigabytes on Steam
An official Dan trailer for the 5th season of Street Fighter 5 was released tonight, after the final Capcom Pro Tour 2020 Season Final.
Dan is the first character in Season 5 of Street Fighter 5. He will be followed by Rose, Oro, Akira and a mysterious 5th character whose identity has not yet been revealed. Eleven is also a playable character, more or less, in Season 5, which was released today. Eleven is basically another form of random selection.
Dan brings some unique features this time, with a one-bar V-Trigger and a variety of canceled V-Skill.
The Season 5 patch is currently available for download on Steam and weighs more than 27 gigabytes, and comes with a host of new costumes and features, including defensive V-Shift mechanics.
This patch will also bring several balance adjustments, which players are exploring in training mode. Some unexpected bugs have also surfaced for players who have apparently downloaded a partial and not a complete game update.
At the time of this writing, SF5 servers were scheduled to be down for another three and a half hours, returning online at around 12pm Pacific / 3 am Eastern Time.
