Zack Snyder leaves us wondering what it could have been again. In a revealing video interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Snyder talked about his next big release, Zack Snyder’s Justice League. During the interview, Snyder talked about his plans for a Ryan Reynolds special participation that never happened and caused that more than one Green Lantern would have appeared in Corte Snyder. Although many fans speculated that Reynolds would make a cameo in Zack Snyder’s Justice League in February, the rumors were quickly debunked when Snyder revealed on Twitter that the participation was, instead, Martian Manhunter.

Reynolds appeared as Hal Jordan in 2011 Green Lantern, and considering that the character is part of the original formation of the Justice League (in addition to being established in the DCEU), it makes sense that Snyder would have considered putting him on Zack Snyder’s Justice League. When asked by THR if Snyder ever considered putting Reynolds behind a green screen to do a cameo, the director shared: “There was another idea I had for Green Lantern that wasn’t Ryan, so I thought if we’d followed this Green Lantern path, I would there would have to be Ryan as the additional Flashlight. “

It remains to be seen whether the Green Lanterns will eventually enter the DCEU. Until then, Reynolds revealed about Twitter on Wednesday he is watching the complete Green Lantern movie for the first time in preparation for Justice League by Zack Snyder. Although the film is eleven years old, Reynolds reminded the world this week that he never saw the full version of 2011 Green Lantern – just a preliminary cut of the film. If we can’t have Green Lantern in our Snyder cut, at least we can rest assured knowing that our Green Lantern pre-game to launch the Snyder cut in style.

You can watch the Green Lantern for free Zack Snyder’s Justice League when it debuted on HBO Max on March 18.
