Was here. It’s time. Bubble Watch is live.
After six weeks of updates twice a week, we converged on the final explosion of the pre-NCAA tournament of the season. We started the same process last year, of course, and we all know what happened then: tournaments stopped, Bubble Watch stopped, the sport we love and this strange, verbose and contextually obsessed column that we created together was frozen in place. The latest BW update of 2020, presented at the media center in Greensboro, NC, promised to “end the fight”; it was about 15 minutes before the world stopped. We were on a flight back to DC later that day.
So, yes, there is something especially satisfying about seeing this year’s Bubble Watch to the end.
