Russell Wilson may have played his final game for the Seattle Seahawks if any team made a ridiculous offer to the franchise’s quarterback, where Seattle can’t say no. By Dianna Russini of ESPN, if a team is desperate enough to make the switch to Wilson – the Seahawks will do the business. The Seahawks and Wilson tried to “make it work,” according to Russini, but Seattle got calls from other teams.

Seattle is looking for the highest bidder for Wilson and may have a suitor at the Chicago Bears. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported Wednesday that Chicago is prepared to throw a boat full of picks at the Seahawks for Wilson and the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson in an attempt to improve as a quarterback. The Bears are the only franchise in the NFL to never have a 4,000 yard passer in one season, nor a 30 touchdown passer in one season.

Wilson certainly fits what the Bears are looking for in a franchise quarterback – a franchise that didn’t have a first-team All-Pro quarterback in the Super Bowl era (the last All-Pro quarterback was Johnny Lujack in 1950). Wilson has the second highest number of passing touchdowns (267) in his first nine seasons in the NFL – behind only Peyton Manning. He also has the fifth highest pass score (33,946) and the second highest passer rating (101.7) for a quarterback after his first nine seasons.

The Seahawks are 98-45-1 in Wilson’s 144 games, as the quarterback has never lost a game in his career. Wilson also has 4,506 running yards and 21 touchdowns over nine seasons – ranking fourth among all quarterbacks in career yards. Wilson has been in two Super Bowls – winning one – as the Seahawks have four NFC West titles and eight playoff appearances since Wilson became the starting quarterback in 2012.

The Seahawks do not have a choice in the first round in 2021 or 2022 thanks to the Jamal Adams trade. The Bears have choices in the first round from 2021 onwards (including the 20th overall choice in this year’s draft). This is a start to acquire one of the best defenders of his time in his early years.

Chicago looks set to be Wilson’s biggest bidder. All hands on the deck.
