Were the Seattle Seahawks really on the verge of negotiating with Russell Wilson?
The NFL Network reported on Thursday that more teams in the league asked about Wilson, but the Seahawks showed no inclination to change their star defender.

Earlier this week, Wilson exposed some dirty clothes during a video conference with reporters on Tuesday, when he complained about the lack of protection in the field.
“I love to play for the [Seahawks], I love it for years and I put every game at risk and I’m dedicated to it, “Wilson told reporters.” The reality is that I find it frustrating to be there, watch the game and just sit there. He continued: “I was definitely hit – I was fired almost 400 times. We need to improve.”
Wilson was asked if his frustration was with the franchise, to which he replied: “I am frustrated by taking too many hits.”
Wilson has been fired at least 40 times in each of his last eight seasons.
Wilson too made an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” and he said he hopes to have a more “involved” role in the future, confirming that Seattle “definitely” received calls from other teams to see if he available for trade.
“I want to be involved. Ultimately, it’s your legacy, your team’s legacy … It helps to be more involved. This dialogue should happen more often ”.
Dan Patrick, the host of “The Dan Patrick Show”, quoted sources as saying the Seahawks are not happy with wilson share their frustrations with the organization publicly.

“A source told me that the Seahawks management is not happy with Russell Wilson and his team for bringing this to the media,” said Patrick. “You wonder if they will be able to coexist … the current situation is untenable. That’s what I was told.”
Wilson, who shot for 4,212 passing yards and 40 touchdowns during the regular season, led the Seahawks to a 12-4 record and first place in the ever-competitive NFC West.
However, in his fight against the Los Angeles Rams, Wilson completed just 11 of 27 passes for 174 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Seattle’s disappointing 30-20 loss to his rival.
