Russell Wilson left out of the Seahawks season ticket letter

In this off-season, there was a new Chicago Bears quarterback rumor almost every week. From Deshaun Watson to Matthew Stafford to Derek Carr to Carson Wentz to Sam Darnold, it’s been hell for fans along the way.

But a quarterback who has been continuously linked to the Bears for the past few weeks is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russel Wilson – and he doesn’t seem to be losing momentum anytime soon.

Not only have the Bears been named as one of the four potential landing points, but there has been a lot of talk about what Wilson would like to join the Bears, including the turnaround on a historic franchise and some pieces they have in place.

Now, this Wilson conversation with the Bears means nothing if the Seahawks don’t really intend to change it. Which seems to be the case, although they are getting calls from teams, which you have to believe includes Chicago.

But, according to reports, things are tense between the two sides, as Wilson has publicly indicated that he was not happy with the lack of protection of his offensive line in Seattle, and the Seahawks were not happy with him speaking out.

Now, something new has moved the internet. The Seahawks sent a letter to ticket holders for the season, in which they were essentially welcoming fans and looking to the future of the franchise.

Interestingly, Wilson was not mentioned in the letter.

Now, it may indicate something or it may indicate absolutely nothing, it is all a matter of how you look at it. But it certainly shocked Seahawks fans who read a letter about their team’s future – mentioning names like DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett – without mentioning their franchise quarterback.

With reports indicating that the Bears are prioritizing negotiations for Wilson, the conversation is not going to die anytime soon. And this letter only adds fuel to the fire that is speculating on Wilson’s future in 2021 and beyond.
