“This is the problem with children today. Without focus,” the actor countered.

Twitter users who think they can make a joke at the expense of Russell Crowe may think twice before posting a joke.

Earlier this month, a Twitter user made a joke to some, a rude comment to others, about the 2003 war adventure epic Master and Commander: the other side of the world, which stars Crowe.

“A lot of people complaining about the lack of sleep during the Pandemic. I would like to recommend Master and Commander starring the generally captivating and flashy Russel Crowe. I never got past the ten minute mark. You’re welcome. And thanks Russell,” wrote the use of Twitter. To his credit, the Twitter user tagged Crowe in the post, so he didn’t get lost in the middle of Twitter.

Crowe finally saw and answered on Saturday night. He clearly did not find the comment about the Oscar nominated film beautiful.

“That’s the problem with children today. Unfocused. Peter Weir’s film is brilliant. An epic, accurate, detailed and epic tale of loyalty to the Empire and service, regardless of cost. Incredible cinematography by Russell Boyd and a majestic soundtrack. Definitely an adult movie, “he wrote.

In the film, which was nominated for 10 Oscars, Crowe plays Captain Jack Aubrey of HMS Surprise. Set in 1805, Aubrey and the crew are tasked with hunting and capturing a powerful French ship.
