If you’re the type of person who still needs more storage, Apple may have answered your prayers.

According 9to5Mac, there are indications that this year’s iPhone line – yes, we are talking about the Next one already – will have 1 TB of storage. The agency cited analysts at the investment firm Wedbush, who pointed to supply chain checks as evidence. Currently, the largest storage offered on iPhones is 512 GB, so an iPhone 13 with 1 TB of storage would be the first for Apple.

This is not the first time that this rumor has appeared in Appleland. In October, Apple hitter Jon Prosser – which, it should be noted, is not always right – also provoked about this possibility. Prosser reiterated this forecast in January in Front Page Tech, saying that most of the high-end prototypes of the iPhone 13 have 1 TB of storage.

“We are in the early stages of the iPhone 13 now and we kind of have just prototypes to start with, which means that not much is really final,” said Prosser in January. “But I will tell you that most of these prototypes, I am being informed, have one terabyte of storage. That is, prototypes for professional models. “

If the rumor is true, Apple would not be the first company to make 1TB phones. Samsung and Asus started offering phones with a storage capacity of 1 TB back in 2019.

Other reliable conversation indicates that Apple’s latest line will retain four models again this year. In other words, we are probably looking at an iPhone 13 Mini, an iPhone 13, an iPhone 13 Pro and an iPhone 13 Pro Max. The difference between them, something we all know now, would be the cameras. And if that new rumor is true, it could also be storage – and more than we’ve seen on an iPhone before.
