More than two weeks after he requested and received his release from the Houston Texans, JJ Watt appeared on Monday to focus on his next team. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year, who has reportedly received several lucrative offers since he hit the open market, apparently suggested in his biography at Peloton, the cycling training service, which narrowed his potential destinations to the Bills, Browns and Packers. An hour after the rumors grew on social media, however, Watt apparently denied the suggestion, tweeting, “I don’t have a bicycle. Stop.”

On Monday morning, Watt’s supposed biography simply said: “SB56 … GB … CLE … BUF.” The abbreviated description seemed to indicate that the Texans’ longtime highlight was planning a trip to the Super Bowl LVI with one of the three teams listed. NFL insider John Clayton had previously suggested that the Bills and Packers were among the favorites for Watt’s services, although Clayton also included the Tennessee Titans as candidates for the five-time Pro Bowler, and they were nowhere to be found in the alleged biography. .

All three teams mentioned by Watt were expected to seek help with the fast pass in the off-season of 2021. All three were also candidates for the playoffs in 2020, with the Bills and Packers advancing to their respective conference championship games. Cleveland, meanwhile, is designed to have the highest pay cap space for the three teams, joining the free agency with about $ 25.7 million to spend.

Watt, 31, spent the first 10 seasons of his NFL career in Houston, where he led the league twice and won a unanimous selection for the 2010 NFL National Team.
