‘Rugrats’ reboot cast: Where are Dil Pickles, Kimi Finster and Kira?

The HBO Dirty Mouth Cast Veep is set to meet in the last absolute place you would expect: children’s television.

Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky and Timothy Simons signed on for the next Rugrats revival, which is set to debut at Paramount + (fka CBS All Access) this spring.

Hale will take on the role of neurotic musician Chas Finster (also known as Chuckie’s father), while Chlumsky and Simons will voice Angelica’s parents, Councilwoman Charlotte and pharmaceutical representative Drew.

New additions to the cast also include Ashley Rae Spillers (Deputy Directors) like Tommy’s mother, Didi, a passionate artisan and blogger; Tommy Dewey (Casual) as Tommy’s father, Stu, an optimistic inventor; Natalie Morales (Dead to me) as Betty, the mother of Phil and Lil, Didi’s best friend and owner of a coffee shop; Nicole Byer (Nailed it!) like Susie’s mother, Lucy, a fun and generous doctor; Omar Miller (The unicorn) like Susie’s father, Randy, an affable and good-natured science teacher; and Michael McKean (Better to call Saul) as Grandpa Lou Pickles, an active elderly man who likes yoga.

“This incredibly talented group of actors offers a new and very funny take on these iconic roles, combining humor with heart to bring the characters to life in a whole new way,” said Liz Paulson, Nickelodeon’s senior vice president of talent and cast, in a statement. As previously reported, the original voice actors EG Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil) will repeat their iconic roles.

Paramount + released the following first photo of the new CG animated cast, which is visibly missing three characters from the original series: Tommy’s younger brother, Dil; Chuckie’s half sister, Kimi; and Chuckie’s stepmother, Kira.
