Rose McGowan on Marilyn Manson’s abuse allegations: ‘I stay with Evan Rachel Wood’

Rose McGowan is showing her support for Evan Rachel Wood.

The actress “Scream”, 47, took to Twitter on Monday to show solidarity with Wood after his allegations of abuse against Marilyn Manson, allegations that Manson denied and called “horrible distortions of reality.”

“I’m with Evan Rachel Wood and other brave women who performed,” McGowan, who was already engaged to Manson for two years before they broke up in 2001, tweeted.

She continued, “It takes years to recover from abuse and I send you strength on your recovery journey. Let the truth be revealed. Let the healing begin.”

The shock rocker, 52, was named by Wood as her alleged assailant in a social media post on Monday.

“The name of my attacker is Brian Warner, also known worldwide as Marilyn Manson,” wrote the 33-year-old woman about her ex-fiance, with whom she was briefly engaged in 2010. “He started to prepare me when I was a teenager and horribly abused me for years.

“I was brainwashed and manipulated to become submissive,” she continued. “I am tired of living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and summon the many industries that have enabled him, before he destroys more lives. I am with the many victims who will not do more to be silent. “

After Wood shared his own charges, at least four other women posted their own charges against Manson in a show of solidarity, Vanity Fair reported. The women claimed to have suffered “sexual violence, psychological abuse and / or various forms of coercion, violence and intimidation”.

The vehicle noted that Manson has denied similar claims in the past.

The “Deep Six” singer, who was released by his record company after the charges, also shared an Instagram post on Monday denying all charges against him.

“Obviously, my art and my life have been magnets for controversy, but these recent statements about me are horrible distortions of reality,” wrote Manson. “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to distort the past, that is the truth.”
