Everything is giving roses to Blackpink’s Rosé. The K-pop singer made her solo debut with the project R, released on March 12. R it is led by the single “On the Ground”, which also comes with a music video, meeting Rosé with the glamorous look she always had amid flames and explosions. The other track of the project is the stripped ballad “Gone”, which Rosé sang for the first time in the live broadcast of Blackpink “The Show” in January. Rosé is not the first Blackpink member to release solo music, after Jennie previously released her song “Solo” in 2018. R – sung entirely in English – comes after Blackpink released its first Korean full-length, The album, Last October. Rosé will perform solo in The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on March 16.
