Rockstar Games employee accidentally leaks a game without notice

A Rockstar Games employee may have accidentally leaked a new game, which naturally caught the eye not only of GTA and redemption of the red dead fans, but fans of the dormant IP of Rockstar Games, like Bully, Manhuntand Max Payne. It also caught the attention of Rockstar Games itself, because the leak was covered up, but not before the Internet received it.

The leak came through Ian Gander, a senior designer at Rockstar Games who spent nearly 10 years at the company and who recently updated his LinkedIn profile to remove the mentioned leak. If you look at Gander’s profile on LinkedIn now, there is nothing important, but before editing, he listed the following: “unannounced title (s): TBC.”

Unfortunately, this was also revealed by Gander. In other words, while we apparently know that Rockstar Games has an unannounced project in progress, we have no idea what franchise it might be, although Rockstar’s history and all recent rumors and reports suggest that this is likely GTA 6. However, it can also be Bully 2, a reset of Manhunt, Red Dead Redemption 3, or even a new IP. Again, the most likely is that the unannounced game that Rockstar is working on is Grand Theft Auto VI, however, this is a trick. In other words, it makes no sense to refer to GTA 6 as an unannounced title and TBC, because we all know that Rockstar is making a new Grand Theft Auto game, which is why some think this could be for an IP that is not GTA or Red Dead.

For now, take everything here with a grain of salt. At the moment, we are in deep speculative territory, and there is no indication of what this mysterious project is. Of course, Rockstar Games has – at least – an unannounced game in development, because now they have no announced games. And although there is some reason to believe that it may not be Red Dead or GTA related, chances are, yeah.

As always, feel free to leave a comment or two with your opinion or, if you prefer, contact me on Twitter @Tyler_Fischer_ and let me know there. What do you think is this unannounced game?
