Check out the first images of Rocket League Sideswipe below.
Rocket League became a phenomenon when it was released for free as part of the PlayStation Plus in 2015 and the competitive automotive football game still enjoys huge popularity. Rocket League developer Psyonix was acquired by Epic Games in 2019, and Rocket League became a free game shortly after.
In the Rocket League, players control cars on a field in order to, well, score goals using a giant ball. Boosters and acrobatic skills help players make impressive moves. Cars can also be customized with cosmetics for a more personal touch.
The Rocket League Sideswipe images show a similar style of play, but the perspective is now horizontal rather than a full 3D map. However, there still seems to be customization options for cars, although it is unclear whether these cosmetics are transferred to Rocket League console and PC versions.

Rocket League Sideswipe will begin a Regional Limited Alpha test on the Google Play Store today in Australia and New Zealand. It will be available for free to play later this year on iOS and Android.
