David O. Russell’s last film filled out his A-list set.
Frequent collaborator Robert De Niro joined the project, along with Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola also joined the cast that includes previously announced stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington.
The New Regency project, which is created under the Regency agreement with Fox / Disney, will see Russell straight from his own script. The plot details are being kept secret in the film, which will be Russell’s return to the director’s seat for the first time since 2015 Joystarring Jennifer Lawrence.
The start of production in April was planned for the feature before the end of COVID-19 production. The film is planning to start in January in Los Angeles. Russell is producing with Matthew Budman.
